Mumbai: Six passengers sustained minor injuries after a BEST wet-lease electric bus rammed into a road divider in Powai on Thursday morning, officials said.The accident took place around 11.05 am near Powai Vihar Sankul when the bus, operating en route A-422 from Vikhroli depot to Bandra Bus Station (W), was travelling in the up direction.According to a preliminary report, the driver claimed he noticed a car approaching from the left side of the bus and diverted his attention towards it. No FIR was registered as none of the six passengers travelling in the bus that suffered minor injuries approached police with a complaint.Six passengers on board who suffered injuries were immediately shifted to Paramount Hospital in Sakinaka for treatment.The injured were identified as Ajay Shinde (21), who sustained an injury above his right eye; Sakshi Pisal (23), who suffered a chin injury; Babar Singh (20), who sustained a lip injury; Manoj Gupta (41), who suffered a forehead injury; Praneeti Mali (25), who sustained a nose injury; and Nadir Shah Chikode (35), who complained of a neck injury.BEST said the passengers were shifted to hospital by the bus conductor on the instructions of wet-lease depot manager Kishor Shinde.
