Vasai: A motorcycle rider was killed and another person injured after their bike was hit by a truck carrying LPG cylinders near Martin Complex in the Achole police station area on Sunday afternoon.The accident took place around 1 pm when the motorcycle, ridden by Krishna Vishwakarma, was travelling towards Vasai Link Road. As the bike reached near Martin Complex, a Bharat Gas cylinder-laden truck allegedly rammed into it.The impact caused the motorcycle to come under the truck, resulting in Vishwakarma’s death. Another person travelling on the bike sustained injuries and was rushed for medical treatment.Police, with the help of local residents, detained the truck driver and subsequently arrested him. The Achole police are investigating the incident.
